Thor

Thor is a handsome 16hh registered Thoroughbred gelding, born approximately in 2008, who came to SCCR from an Alberta auction in the summer of 2021.

When Thor first arrived, he was sad, shut down, and suffering from severe thrush and badly overgrown, cracked hooves. With proper farrier care and lots of TLC from our volunteers, Thor has made an incredible transformation into a happy, expressive boy who absolutely loves attention!

Thor is intelligent, eager to learn, and clearly has previous training under his belt. He has lovely, responsive groundwork skills and is continuing to build strength and confidence with his SCCR trainer, with the hope of enjoying some trail rides in the future.

Thor is looking for an experienced, patient home with someone who understands his sensitive nature and is happy to work at his pace. With a calm, consistent approach, this sweet boy has so much to offer and would love to find his special person.
