Our 12 Days of Giving online auction runs from December 1–12, 2025, and serves as one of our most important annual fundraisers. Its purpose is simple but vital: to raise the funds needed to care for the equines at Second Chance Cheekye Ranch in Squamish, BC.

SCCR rescues horses, donkeys, and mules from a wide range of situations, including neglect, abandonment, owner surrender, and the heartbreaking reality of being shipped to slaughter—both within Canada and overseas. At Second Chance Cheekye Ranch, they are given a safe place to land, heal, and rediscover trust while they are rehabilitated and prepared for the forever homes they truly deserve.

We are a Registered Non-Profit, and every donation and auction contribution directly supports the ongoing care of our herd—housing, feed, veterinary and farrier services, and training. These costs continue to rise each year. Last year alone, hay for our 70 rescues exceeded $100,000.
